System Architecture System architecture defines the system’s operating mode. Local system architectures don’t allow remote connection for monitoring, video reproduction or management, that is, all of the system’s operation must concentrate on only one computer that must work in stand-alone mode. Every system has native support (Base License) for a determined number of cameras. All of the systems offer expansioo of this number by way of license packs, that must be acquired separately.

To meet the growing demands for security solutions, Digifort implemented support for alarm devices.

An alarm device is basically an alarm board via network (device which has an RJ-45 port and that communicates by network by way of TCP/IP) that contains alarm inputs and outputs that can be read and activated by the Digifort system.

An intelligent installation relies on various alarm devices and cameras interacting by events, all of which is centrally controled by the Digifort System.

The Digifort Explorer and Digifort Standard systems, being basic systems, don t offer support for alarm devices.

The Digifort Professional software offers supporte for up to 6 alarm boards that can have any number of inputs/outputs (per board).

The Digifort Enterprise software offers supporte for an unlimited number of alarm boards that can have any number of inputs/outputs (per board).

The Digifort system has a complete system of rights for users, which allows the system administrator to define the rights that a user can have over the server and the cameras.

The Digifort system goes beyond the system of rights present in the systems of our competitors, to the contrary of those who implement the concept of level (administrator or operator), we implemented individual rights, which allow total flexibility for the operator. Has features system for users The Digifort system has a complete system of features for users, which allows the system administrator to define a set of monitoring features that the user will have at the monitoring station. With features administration you will be able to block the client work station, disabling Windows short-cut keys (CTRL + ESC, CTRL + ALT + DEL, ALT + TAB, etc..), making it impossible for the user to leave the monitoring client. Limit of connections to server

The limit of connections to the server specifies the number of connection that the server is capable of managing. To make this clear, when a user accesses the server via administration client, this uses up 1 connection with the server. If the user connects to the server as monitoring client, he uses up one more connection with the server and this connection will be used for the client administration and for the reproduction of video via client, but each camera that is being monitored via monitoring client uses up 1 connection, that is, if a user connects via monitoring client and is visualizing 4 cameras simultaneously, he will be using up 5 connections with the server.

All of the versions of Digifort have the ability to manage any number of connections. In tests made in our laboratory, we were able to reach up to 2,000 connections in a Pentium IV 3.06Ghz with HT, but these were consuming 50% of the processor only for connection management.
