Australia’s largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the northwest region of Tasmania. The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine, 100km Southwest of Burnie, is a long-life mining asset set to continue operation to the year 2034.
THE AIM is to provide a safe and secure working environment for their staff and contractors by using preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other fever related conditions such as flu.
THE SOLUTION was to utilising the BTM-T5 thermal camera to measure and screen staff and contractors as they pass through from one end to the other side of the block. A screen monitor has been installed to display the temperature reading in real-time. The data is analysed and monitored for further action if body temperature exceeds 37.8˚C.
